Important note for Mains 2026

Those who are writing Mains this year shall understand one important thing. Unlike Prelims, where current affairs questions are often random, Mains current affairs questions are much more predictable and usually focus on very important themes. So, instead of reading many topics, focus on those important themes and revise them multiple times.

Also, whenever you read any current affairs topic for Mains, study it in four dimensions along with Examples.

My sincere advice

Those who joined or are joining the guidance programs of my Qualify IAS institute, whether the Test Series with Mentorship, or EKAGRATA Mentorship, try to travel with me for at least 6 months to 1 year. Don't expect overnight development. I have said this several times.

You need to stay consistent with our tests and mentorship sessions and try to follow my instructions without fail. Many students join but don't write tests or attend sessions regularly. Without consistency in work, we can't achieve great things in life.

In this exam, it is the student who has to do everything.

Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK)

PoK is the part of the former princely state of Jammu & Kashmir under Pakistan's control since 1947–48.

UPSC aspirants, please note one important aspect.

Though around 5–6 lakh people prepare for this exam, only 10–20% of the students show consistency in their preparation.

For example, in the last one and a half years, more than 200 students have joined our Mentorship Programs, but only 40–50 students have actually stayed consistent throughout the sessions, and they are performing well. The rest are very inconsistent.

So, if you can maintain consistency in the right direction for 2–3 years, then your chances are very high because you are already eliminating 80% of the competition through your consistency alone.

So stay consistent, even if you feel it is difficult and boring on some days.
