Hello everyone,

My name is Jaswanth Jeenu. I am from Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.

I did my graduation from IIT Kanpur in Computer Science. After that, I worked at Samsung R&D, Bengaluru, where I got a job offer but always had my heart set on Civil Services.

My UPSC Journey has been a long and persistent one:
• 2021 – Indian Postal Service (IPoS)
• 2022 – IRMS & IFoS
• 2023 – IPS
• 2024 – Rank secured (Service not upgraded)
• 2025 – IAS, AIR 23

I took Chemistry Optional, and scored 308 Marks in this attempt.

I am now proud to be a part of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Every attempt taught me something new, and I’m glad that perseverance paid off.

I’ll be happy to come on a Live Session with my dear friend Rajinikanth and interact with you all. Looking forward to it!

A small message from my friend Jaswanth for our channel members.

Some top movie heroes are actually society’s villains.

They are increasing their remuneration to crores and asking the government to increase ticket prices. They earn hundreds of crores and live a luxurious life, but still want youth to fight for their movie tickets and do all kinds of nonsense in theatres.

I request the youth, please focus on your careers and consider these heroes as entertainers, nothing more.

Those who are failing in Mains please note

One of the Major Reasons for Scoring low marks in GS papers is lack of Examples or substantiation for the Points they write.
You can write these kinds of real life examples in your Answers.

Don't just depend on books to write Examples.
Observe multiple sources especially government sources including Social media to get such examples

IPL Season has begun
Try to stay away from any kind of Betting.

I have seen my own family members destroying their lives because of IPL betting.
It always starts with a small amount but ends with the amount you will never ever imagine.

Don’t forget that it takes strong will and effort to bring such toppers to live sessions. Many of my ranker friends who have appeared in these sessions are undergoing hectic training, Even Jaswant Chandra is undergoing IPS training at NPA, yet they always make time to attend my live sessions for the benefit of the student community.
So please try to take these live sessions seriously and learn from the lives of toppers. It will be very beneficial for all of you.

Derivative Contracts

Derivative contracts are financial instruments whose value is derived from an underlying asset such as stocks, commodities, currencies, or interest rates. These contracts represent an agreement between two parties to buy or sell the asset at a predetermined price on a future date.

Key Features

Derived Value – Value depends on the price of the underlying asset

Contractual Agreement – Involves two or more parties

Future Settlement – Executed at a future date or based on price movement

Leverage – Small investment can control large exposure

Risk Transfer – Helps shift risk from one party to another

Types of Derivatives

✔️Futures – Standardized contracts traded on exchanges
✔️Options – Provide right but not obligation to buy/sell
✔️Forwards – Customized agreements traded over-the-counter (OTC)
✔️Swaps – Exchange of financial obligations (e.g., interest rates)

Uses

✔️Hedging – Protect against price fluctuations (e.g., farmers, exporters)
✔️Speculation – Earn profits from price changes
✔️Arbitrage – Take advantage of price differences in markets

Example

✔️A farmer enters a contract to sell wheat at a fixed price after 3 months.
✔️If market price falls → farmer is protected
✔️If price rises → buyer benefits
