I had spoken to many rankers, including those who gave the exam this year, and I have also gone through the paper myself.
Paper was difficult and those who are scoring around 85( General) may start your mains preparation after two three days.

Those who are messaging for Mains Group Mentorship please wait till Prelims results.

Will begin 2-3 days after the prelims results.

Will keep one particular date and we won’t be taking anyone after that date. Because it will disturb the schedule of others in the group. And previously we faced issued when people joined in between.

The course duration will be 6months.

Whether you are scoring well in Prelims or not start your Mains Preparation. Don’t think too much About Results and waste your time now. I think 3-4 days of rest is enough to come out of Exam stress.

Those who are scoring well and confident about clearing Prelims 2025 must follow Few Things.

1) Start Looking at Mains Syllabus - Note down or Mark those topics which u haven’t finished reading or read very little. Read them properly first.

2) Analyse Mains PYQs- Start Analysing Mains Pqs from 2024 to 2019 and understand the demand of the questions.

3) Topper Copies- Before and After writing Answers give some time to understand the topper copies.

4) Daily Answer Writing- Most important part of Mains is to write Answers everyday and get them checked by some experts or seniors.

5) Limit your Mains resources- and Have Proper Notes for facts, Data, examples, and Keywords for each topic given in syllabus.

6) Balance Optional- Try to give sufficient time to Optional and balance All papers.

6) Revision- Revise the limited content again and again and try to remember your notes to substantiate your answers.

Some people use the word ‘Bro’
while texting me.

That is the word you can use while addressing your close friends or Relatives but not elders, teachers, officers, leaders etc.

Either you can use Brother or Sir if you want to message.

I think some people should learn this basic things before they enter into preparation.

As the buzz of prelims exam and the related cutoffs is nearly settled i feel, let's dive into the world of Mains.
This stage is completely different and it tests the endurance level of the aspirants.
I'll be sharing my GS 1,2,3,4 and Anthropology strategy soon here.
Meanwhile those who are able to clear the cutoff and are confident of writing mains, try to complete paper 2 of Anthro and GS 4 before prelims results. As these 2 subjects have small bandwidth of syllabus it can be done easily within 10-12 days.

I will begin by sharing my strategy for Anthropology Paper 2, followed by GS Paper 4. After that, I’ll cover Anthropology Paper 1, and then proceed with GS Papers 2, 3, and 1, respectively.

Anthro paper 2

I scored 138 this time. May be it is not a best score but it’s definitely above average. And the key to score good lies in writing answer as simple as possible. For example Laghima Tiwari Mam (AIR 19 2022) scored 161 in it and her answers are very refined and ease in understanding.

Sources

1.1 - Core Indian archeology part it is. It should be dealt with clarity. I referred to Mandar Patki Sir notes. He made detailed summary of DK Bhattacharya book. Apart from that Anthropology Demystified can be referred for various sites. In addition to that try to listen to YouTube videos of DK Bhattacharya sir which he explains about various phases.
Wrt Contribution of tribal culture to Indian civilisation part, make a short notes from any book.

1.2 - Indian Fossils part it is. Make comprehensive notes from any book and value add it from EPG Pathshala website. As there are already three fossils mentioned, try to cover other “Anthropological evidences “ as it is mentioned in syllabus. Try to give anthropologist perspective to all the fossils.

1.3 - For Ethnoarcheology, I made short notes from Koya Sree Harsha sir (AIR 6 2017) blog. Rest added other parts from Wikipedia, Anthro Demystified etc.,

2. For ethnic and linguistic elements part, I referred to Anthro Demystified and added other classifications like Sarkar & Hutton in it.
With regard to Factors influencing population growth, Make a short notes and try to add strong arguments inclining towards Anthropological perspective. U can link it from Paper 1 Chapter 11.

3.1 - I referred to Anthro Demystified for concepts. Value added from Sunya IAS book for different views on it.

3.2- Referred to Mandar Patki sir notes. Value added from Essential Sociology by Nitin Sanghwan for various views on caste.

3.3 - Mandar Patki sir and Dwij Goel sir notes.

3.4 - I referred to Anthro Demystified and Vivek Bhasme. Laghima Tiwari Mam notes for value addition

4 - Mandar Patki sir notes plus Anthro demystified. Tried to cover Contemporary Anthropologists too. Use chatgpt when content is insufficient.

5.1 - Mandar Patki sir notes plus Waseem Ahmed Bhatt sir copies ( AIR 7 2022)

5.2 - Mandar Patki sir notes plus Neha Goyal Mam telegram channel answer.

5.3 - Nadeem Hasnain book, Mandar Patki sir notes, Anthro demystified

6.1 to 9.3 - Nadeem Hasnain book, Mandar Patki sir notes, Apala Mishra Mam notes, Current affairs example, Anthro Demystified, Vivek Bhasme

In addition to the above resources, I used to read Laghima Tiwari Mam notes very often to ensure my answer would be as simple as possible.

Apart from sources, I will be sharing my approach for each topic of Paper 2 along with my answer copies in next subsequent posts.

Here I'll be sharing a few important things to keep in mind for every topic of paper 2.
For archeology I'll explain at end as it required detail analysis.

Chapter 2 - Demographic profile of India
Easy to score and the chance of asking questions from this chapter is cent percent.
Try to remember the names of languages, races and all other factual stuff to increase your score.
And divide the body into various parts.
For example - Dravidian language (10 marks)
Ans - Intro( Language defn & Population percentage)
Body ( Map, Classification, Significance, Contemporary relevance, any case study)
Conclusion ( Unity in diversity or Melting pot of cultures)

Along with this prepare notes for Sarkar & Hutton classification of races and Negrito Problem.

For population topic,
Try to map the questions asked in the last 10 years from the topic and make notes of it. In answers use demographic theories from paper 1 , keywords( population education or Demographic winter) and diagrams (demographic transition or population pyramid) at its best.

Clarification !!

Some people are unable to pay the total fees at a time
I completely understand your situations. you can pay half of it now and rest within a month.
You can join without any delay.

But don’t miss even single session. It will be difficult for you to finish the targets on time if u join lately.

We will begin the session on June 6th and No new members will be accepted after that because introductory session is very important where we discuss various aspects of the program and Mains preparation

I have to be strict this time because last time new members faced several issues with finishing old targets and also disturbed the other members valuable time.

Thank you.
