The poet R. Rajinikanth is explaining the true value of education and its importance in society. He says that education is not just about gaining knowledge, but also about developing good character. A person who has no compassion, who befriends only the rich, who is selfish and materialistic, is not a truly educated person, no matter how much they have studied. True education is about developing qualities like kindness, compassion, love, friendship, and helpfulness.
