When you read newspaper the way you understand the content is more realistic and practical. You will not feel the same when you read any institution current affairs magazine.

Instead of giving multiple exams focus on one exam with right direction, planning and strategies. Sometimes it may take some years but you should have patience. It can be small or big but don’t prepare simultaneously for multiple exams.

There are 6 core subjects for Prelims like History, Geography, Economy, Science and Tech, Polity and Environment. If you want to clear then definitely you should have excellent command on at least 3 subjects.

For example I was very Good at History( my post graduation and Optional) , Economy and Polity.

Equal or similar knowledge in all subjects may not help you much.

There may not be a direction question on India - Qatar Relations, however it is necessary to quote importance of Qatar in India - West Asia Relations

Introduction- whenever you give any introduction try to provide some example within introduction.

For example - if you are writing introduction for SHGs
Then give example of some SHGs like in Odisha Women SHG involved in Cow dung Processing or In Uttarakhand Women SHG involved in Selling Temple Prasad.

3) How to Choose Optional and Which institution is good?

Ans) There are many Factors involved. Very important Interest in the subject, Academic background, Scoring trends, Advice from Seniors and Toppers. Before joining any institution always ask your seniors or friends who have taken similar optional from particular and their experience.

4) Can we prepare for State services and UPSC together?

Ans) Better prepare for UPSC first because state exams are very uncertain. UPSC knowledge will give you some extra edge in Answer writing. Later when state exams are near you can focus on state special syllabus.

5) Which institution Materials we should use ?

Ans) Very simple any institution material which are aligned with UPSC syllabus and Previous year questions and don’t have unnecessary content may be considered.
