Know the procedure for removal of district court, high court and Supreme court judges.
And also know how high court or SC judges removed in the past.

Removal of District Court Judges
• District judges are removed not by impeachment, but through executive order under Article 235.
• High Court has complete disciplinary control over the subordinate judiciary.
• Procedure:
1. Complaint/allegation arises.
2. High Court conducts inquiry (following natural justice).
3. If misconduct proven, High Court recommends removal.
4. Governor removes the judge based on this recommendation.
• Governor cannot remove a district judge without the High Court’s recommendation (Shamsher Singh case).
