Department Planning To Increase Min Eligibility Criteria for Rule 3 Transfer, Raise Your Voice

Subject: Request to Retain GDS Transfer Eligibility at 1 Year

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing to respectfully request that the GDS transfer eligibility under Rule 3 be kept at 1 year, rather than being extended to 2 or 3 years.

Many GDS, including myself, are currently working far from our home villages with salaries of ₹10,000 to ₹12,000 per month. A significant part of this income goes towards rent, food, and other expenses, making it difficult to support our families. Allowing transfers after 1 year would ease this financial burden and improve the well-being of GDS employees.

Moreover, enabling GDS to work in their home villages will benefit the Department as well. Familiarity with local people, geography, and the community's needs will help us serve better, increase trust, and boost business opportunities. By working in our own villages, we can enhance service delivery, leading to greater customer satisfaction and stronger business growth.

I kindly urge you to consider retaining the 1-year transfer eligibility in the interest of both GDS employees and the Department.
