​Here is everything you need to know:

​🔹 How it Works
• Gradual Rollout: This is currently rolling out; if you don't see the option yet, hang tight!
• Two Addresses, One Account: Your old address becomes an alternate email. You will still receive emails sent to both.
• Data Stays Put: Photos, emails, and Drive files remain exactly where they are.

​🔹 The Rules
• The 12-Month Lock: You can switch back anytime, but you cannot create another new @gmail.com address for 12 months.
• Availability: New usernames must be unique and never used/deleted by others.
