- What features would we lose with e2e on by default in Telegram?
- Persistent history, cross-device sync, standalone desktop apps, instant search, unlimited cloud storage for media/files. And it'd be impossible to view earlier chat history when joining channels/megagroups, which is a big deal for many users.
There is a reason billions of people are relying on cloud-based communication platforms like GMail, Discord, Slack, Telegram etc. Not everything has to be e2e at the expense of usability, features and speed. And for things that do, there are Secret Chats.
Telegram is different for me, it's... well it's difficult for me to describe, I can't say that I agree with every decisions that are made but I definitely can understand why they were made this way and not another and that there's no ill intent behind it.

Telegram was the first messaging app to roll out e2e encryption (as secret chat) for millions of users on all platforms in 2013.🥳
And it takes one around one and half year to implement e2e on whatsapp..
But, i can't believe whatsapp is E2E..😐😅

end to end encrypted backup.. 😱😂
media are not protected by end-to-end encryption when stored on Google Drive or iCloud(or any other servers). Instead, the backups are only protected by server-side encryption 🙄😐

Whatsapp is more complicated than telegram. I've to do chat backup manually in whatsapp.
Telegram does it automatically in their server and the data will be splitted and saved in 5 DC's around the world. So I don't have to worry about backing up chats to gdrive everyday 🌚

For the last 2 days, we all are tired of hearing the news about banning the frequency used social application's like Facebook, instagram, twitter , whatsapp..
Even if the Gov. had not implement it on the mentioned date, the chance of taking such a decision is not too low, as in the case of tiktok.
So there must be a chance to ban TELEGRAM in near future.. but, PERMANENTLY REMOVING TELEGRAM WOULD NOT BE A POSSIBLE CASE.
And these are some of my findings to deal with such a situation:
➜ TELEGRAM, being an Open source messenger application; anyone can create their own Telegram-clients for free. And there you can find a plenty of unofficial client's on PlayStore(like Graph msnger, plus msnger, catogram,..)
Banning of all those telegram-clients will not be an easy task. Although you should not use it Because there is a chance of getting monitored by there Government
➜ Then, How can i access Telegram;
By setting proxies
➜ Always remember 'TRY TO USE TELEGRAM ANONYMOUS' if telegram gets banned..😐

3 years ago, I deleted my #WhatsApp_account and moved every possible conversation to @telegram. Never looked back since.
You can do it too,
it's easier than you think. 😐
