The path was quiet, the breeze gentle, and somehow every step felt better when we were walking it together. So tell me, Ghie. how do I look?

The sky was really blue that day, and the ocean was loud enough to drown every thought in my head. But somehow all i could focus on was him. Sveic’s Gyuvin sat on the sand, collecting tiny shells with one hand while drawing in the sand with the other. He made little symbols, •○• next to a small :) and pointed at them with the sweetest grin.

“Ini kamu, ini aku,” he said, like it was the most important thing ever. I couldn't help laughing, and the only thing that came out was, “Lucu banget, sih.”

I, Ghislaine’s Sungchan, pretended the water wasn’t freezing while he watched from the shore. I kept turning around just to make sure he was still looking, and he always was. Nothing big happened, just sunlight on his hair, pockets full of shells, and footprints the tide kept erasing, like the world was resetting itself around us.

Somewhere in that quiet, i realized this is what peace feels like. It sounds like his laughter mixing with the waves and feels like a soft kind of forever. A simple day, perfectly ours.
