"If a zombie apocalypse happens right now, you're the first to go," Seonghyeon declared, pulling up his jacket collar under the flickering neon signs. Rei rolled her eyes, bumping her shoulder sharply against his. "Please. I have faster reaction times, and I wouldn't waste five minutes styling my hair before running."
"Hey, presentation matters," he grinned, keeping pace as they strolled down the empty streets, hopping over pavement cracks like kids. Rei suddenly sprinted the last few yards to the pedestrian bridge, leaning over the railing with a laugh. "I win!" "We weren't even racing!" Seonghyeon wheezed, catching up. Neon lights danced on the river below as Rei looked at him, eyes sparkling with mischief. "Best two out of three? Next stop, the convenience store. Loser buys ice cream!"

Before he could object, she bolted down the sidewalk. "Hey! No fair, head start!" Seonghyeon laughed, taking off after his best friend into the night.
