Meta to let teens use Instagram & Facebook for only 2 hrs/day, block apps at night in US

Meta announced steps it'll take to improve teen safety on Instagram and Facebook as it settled a teen addiction lawsuit in the US. It proposed a default two-hour daily time limit for teen users across both apps and a night mode that blocks both apps for them from 12:00 am-6:00 am. It also proposed a 'school mode' and 'hidden likes'.

Around 300 Indians missing in Nepal after deadly flash floods

Around 300 Indians are among those missing after devastating flash floods swept through the Nepal and Tibet regions, Nepal Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal said on Thursday. "Thousands of families have lost homes and are missing as of now. We are still trying to ascertain the full extent of the disaster," he added. More than 160 people have died.

100 Indians missing in Nepal flash floods found

Around 100 missing Indians and ⁠25 Chinese ​nationals have been found ​by Nepalese rescuers, authorities ‌said ​on ​Thursday as nearly 1,500 people remain missing in Nepal and Tibet after devastating floods and mudslides hit the region. Nepalese authorities added that at least 270 people were killed after a glacial collapse triggered the flash floods and mudslides.
