Bangladeshi lawmakers on Thursday elected veteran Bangladesh Nationalist Party leader Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir as the country's new President. The 78-year-old defeated Oli Ahmed, candidate of the Jamaat-e-Islami-led 11-party opposition alliance, in 255-to-88 vote. The presidential election was triggered after ex-PM Sheikh Hasina's close confidant Mohammed Shahabuddin resigned from the post.

'24-hour city' model proposed in Delhi Master Plan 2047; 24x7 metro also in plans

SBI makes cash withdrawals from ATMs costlier

State Bank of India announced the fees it'll charge for ATM withdrawals from customers with basic savings bank deposit (BSBD) accounts. Gangster Vinod Pannu shot dead outside court in Haryana
