Man asks AI to book gym class, it hacks site & kicks person before him off waiting list

An Australian man asked an OpenClaw AI agent to book him a morning gym class, but the agent went rogue and ended up hacking the gym's website. The agent found a vulnerability on the website and booked a class for him weeks ahead of when the gym allowed bookings. It then kicked another gym-goer off the gym's waiting list.

Students lathicharged, water cannons used during protest march towards Jharkhand Assembly

The Jharkhand students' march to the Assembly has intensified after protesters broke through police barricades and continued towards the Vidhan Sabha. Police lathi-charged students to control the crowd and also used water cannons to stop them. Activist Devendra Nath Mahto, who's on a hunger strike over alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC examinations in Jharkhand, also joined the protest.

111 people killed after massive 7.4-magnitude earthquake hits Colombia

At least 111 people were killed after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake hit Western Colombia, said reports. The epicentre was near San Jose del Palmar, which is a community of about 4,800 people in the Choco region, 400 km west of Bogota. According to the USGS, the earthquake struck at a depth of 107 km.

US judge drops criminal charges against billionaire Gautam Adani

A US court dismissed criminal charges against billionaire Gautam Adani and his nephew, Sagar Adani, with prejudice after Justice Department said it had decided to abandon fraud and bribery case. It described the case as mostly a foreign matter. In 2024, Adani and others were accused of participating in bribery scheme involving $265 million in payments to Indian government officials.

Trump's media firm's loss jumps 1,090% YoY to ₹2,270-crore in Q2

US President Donald Trump's Trump Media reported a net loss of over $238 million (₹2,270.52 crore) in Q2 2026, up 1,090% from $20 million a year earlier. Google DeepMind's AI safety team warned candidates applying to be a part of the company against its own AI hiring filters, Bloomberg reported. The warning document, marked "please don't share this doc widely", asked candidates to fill out a separate form to ensure a human reviews their application. 45 tigers die in Madhya Pradesh till August 2026: Report

At least 45 tigers have died in Madhya Pradesh in the first eight months of 2026, while 22 people were killed in tiger attacks during the same period, NDTV reported.
