Anti-Khalistan group leader Gursimran Mand attacked with sharp weapons in Ambala

International Anti-Khalistani Terrorist Front leader Gursimran Singh Mand suffered injuries after some people attacked him and his son near the Panjokhra Sahib Gurdwara in Ambala on Friday. Stating that they were attacked "with sticks, swords and other sharp-edged weapons", Mand added, "Three policemen who tried to save me were also attacked." He thanked police personnel for saving their lives.

EC extends SIR deadline in Karnataka; draft roll to be out on August 24

The Election Commission has extended the deadline for Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Karnataka, giving BLOs nine additional days until August 17 for house-to-house verification. The draft electoral roll will now be published on August 24 and the final roll on October 27. Notably, nearly half of Bengaluru's electorate has reportedly been flagged for potential exclusion.

Policeman deployed outside Salman Khan's house collapses while on duty; dies

A 41-year-old Mumbai Police constable deployed on security duty outside actor Salman Khan's Mumbai residence died after suffering a suspected heart attack on Friday evening. The incident took place when the deceased, identified as Ganesh Raite, was on duty. Police personnel immediately rushed him to the emergency ward of Bhabha Hospital for treatment. Maharashtra proposes EV-only fleet for platforms like Swiggy, Blinkit & Zomato

Maharashtra government has proposed that food delivery and e-commerce platforms like Swiggy, Blinkit, Zomato and Zepto would need to keep an EV-only fleet for all bikes plying less than 15 kilometres.
