Centre announces 50% reservation for ex-Agniveers in CAPF, Assam Rifles

The Centre has announced that retired Agniveers will get 50% reservation in the recruitment to Constable (General Duty) and Rifleman posts in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assam Rifles. Ex-Agniveers will also get a three-year relaxation in the upper age limit, while candidates of the first batch will be given an age relaxation of five years.

France bans social media for children under 15

France became the first European Union country to ban children under 15 from using social media. The French Parliament approved the measure, which will be introduced in phases. Children under 15 will be barred from creating new social media accounts from September 1, while existing accounts belonging to users aged 15 and below will be blocked from January 2027.

US embassy issued 'large crowd' warning in Delhi 3 days before Parliament march

Samsung Electronics to form dedicated robotics division

Samsung Electronics on Tuesday said it will establish a dedicated robotics division, the Robotics eXperience, for the firm's mid-to-long-term robotics strategy. The firm has appointed Executive Vice President Lee Dongkun to head the Robotics Strategy Team, who earlier led robotics strategy at Hyundai. Samsung further said it plans to establish robotics research hubs in the US, China and Japan.
