India's first hydrogen train was flagged off by PM Narendra Modi on Friday and will operate between Haryana's Jind and Sonipat. The train features 10 coaches, making it one of the longest hydrogen passenger trains developed so far. The train has a 1,200 kW hydrogen fuel cell propulsion system and will operate at a speed of 75 kmph.

Govt plans jail term for insulting or disrupting Vande Mataram through amendment bill

Deliberate insult to or intentional obstruction of the singing of Vande Mataram could become punishable under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971, through a proposed amendment. The Centre plans to introduce the Bill in the upcoming Monsoon Session. The Act currently prescribes imprisonment of up to three years, a fine, or both for disrupting the National Anthem.

Delhi records hottest July day in 2 years on July 16

Delhi recorded its hottest July day in nearly two years on Thursday, with the maximum temperature touching 39.2Β°C, four notches above normal, according to IMD. The minimum temperature settled at 30.2Β°C. 'Jurassic Park' star Sam Neill died of pneumonia

Hollywood actor Sam Neill, best known for his role in the 'Jurassic Park' franchise, died of pneumonia, his agent confirmed.
