Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor has declared assets worth ₹96.06 crore in his election affidavit for the Bankipur bypoll, while his wife owns assets worth ₹101.93 crore. He has a ₹95.26 crore stake in Vedhas Ventures Private Limited and ₹7.36 crore in fixed deposits and market investments. Prashant owns a rice mill and properties in Patna, Delhi and Ghaziabad.

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal's aide Dalvir Singh Kala, locally known as Kala Jabandha, was shot at by an unidentified assailant in Punjab on Monday. Police and Food and Drug Administration uncovered a massive synthetic milk racket in Maharashtra, suspecting over 2.3 crore litres of adulterated milk entered market in six months, NDTV reported. Milk was reportedly made with detergent powder, palm oil, chemicals, and mixed with genuine milk before being sold. Experts warned prolonged consumption of adulterated milk could damage liver and kidneys.

SC refuses to cancel Lalu Yadav's bail in fodder scam case

The Supreme Court on Tuesday declined to cancel the bail granted to Lalu Prasad Yadav in the fodder scam case.
