Odisha CM urges WB CM to drop 'dham' from Digha Jagannath Temple name

Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi has urged West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari to remove the word 'Dham' from the name of the Jagannath temple complex in Digha. Majhi said the use of the name 'Digha Jagannath Dham' had hurt the religious sentiments of devotees. Following the letter, Adhikari said the government would remove the word 'Dham' from the temple's name.

Congress protest outside EC office over rejection of Meenakshi's RS nomination

Musk unveils design for AI1, SpaceX's 1st orbital AI supercomputer

Elon Musk has unveiled the design of SpaceX's AI1 satellite, the company's first orbital AI data centre. The satellite features a rack of AI chips powered by large solar panels and cooled by liquid radiators. AI1 will have 150 kW of peak computing power and a wingspan of 70 metres, making it the largest satellite ever launched by SpaceX.

Crude oil drops below $90 as Trump claims ceasefire is close for 38th time

The price of crude oil dipped below the $90/barrel mark for the first time since April 14 as US President Donald Trump claimed for the 38th time that a ceasefire deal between US and Iran was near. Brent crude fell about 5% while its US counterpart, WTI crude, fell to around $86/barrel. This comes a day after Israel-Iran strikes resumed.

Strait of Hormuz closure wipes out 1/5th of global LNG supply: Report

The Strait of Hormuz closure removed 80 million tonnes/annum (mtpa) of LNG from global markets, equivalent to nearly one-fifth of the global supply, according to a Wood Mackenzie analysis. This shortage has triggered at least $100-billion investments in LNG outside the Middle East. Over 150 mtpa of LNG export capacity is already under construction outside the Persian Gulf, it added.
