10% hike in jet fuel prices comes into effect, to now cost ₹115/litre in Delhi: Report

The 10% hike in Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices has come into effect and will now cost ₹115/litre in Delhi, CNBCTV18 reported. The hike is based on the centre's price stabilisation fund under which domestic airlines can buy ATF at a fixed price of ₹86.32/litre for up to three years. Airlines which don't opt in will pay market-linked rates.

Andhra introduces policy to allow data centres to procure electricity on their own

Andhra Pradesh has introduced a policy allowing large data centres to operate as deemed power distributors through a Deemed Distribution Licence (DDL). Under the DDL framework, eligible data centres can buy electricity directly from generators or through open-access markets, reducing power costs. Data centres with a minimum connected load of 300 MW can qualify for DDL status.

Musk unveils design for AI1, SpaceX's 1st orbital AI supercomputer

Elon Musk has unveiled the design of SpaceX's AI1 satellite, the company's first orbital AI data centre. The satellite features a rack of AI chips powered by large solar panels and cooled by liquid radiators. Strait of Hormuz closure wipes out 1/5th of global LNG supply: Report

The Strait of Hormuz closure removed 80 million tonnes/annum (mtpa) of LNG from global markets, equivalent to nearly one-fifth of the global supply, according to a Wood Mackenzie analysis. This shortage has triggered at least $100-billion investments in LNG outside the Middle East. Over 150 mtpa of LNG export capacity is already under construction outside the Persian Gulf, it added.
