TMC leader Jahangir Khan, who had called himself 'Pushpa' during the West Bengal elections, has been arrested at the Nepal border while allegedly trying to flee to Nepal. Jahangir, who is TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee's close aide, had reportedly been on the run for several days. As per reports, seven FIRs have been registered against him at Falta Police Station.

Montu Saha, who owns A/P-1/A Canal South Road, said the tenancy agreement with TMC lapsed in late 2025, and his appeals to the party to move out went unheard. The TMC rented the property in 2022.
