6 ministers in new Shivakumar-led K'taka Cabinet close to ex-CM Siddaramaiah

Ex-Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah secured over half a dozen cabinet berths for his loyalists in the DK Shivakumar-led government, including MB Patil, KJ George, Byrathi Suresh and KH Muniyappa, reports said. His son Yathindra was inducted into the Cabinet, while close ally G Parameshwara became Deputy CM. Siddaramaiah was elevated to the Congress Working Committee and will retain the CM bungalow.

NEET aspirant dies by suicide, writes 'don't have courage to take exam again' in note

An 18-year-old NEET aspirant from MP, Akansha Chaturvedi, died by suicide in Nagpur on May 20. In a handwritten note found days after her demise, Akansha purportedly wrote that she "doesn't have courage to take NEET exam again". The exam, which was held on May 3, was cancelled as question paper got leaked. The re-exam is scheduled for June 21.

A man named Riyazuddin Mansuri sacrificed ₹2 lakh of mattresses from his shop to save at least eight people in a hotel fire in Delhi's Malviya Nagar.
