10 Delhi Police personnel hospitalised after rescue op at hotel fire

Ten Delhi Police personnel, comprising five head constables and five constables, were admitted to hospital after taking part in rescue and firefighting operations during the Malviya Nagar hotel fire incident. All of them were admitted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre and are in stable condition. At least 21 people, many of them foreign nationals, were killed in the fire.

Indian national killed in Iran's attack on Kuwait airport

An Indian national was killed in Kuwait after Iran attacked Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday, the Indian Embassy in Kuwait said. "The Embassy is in touch with the bereaved family and is closely coordinating with the Kuwaiti authorities to render all possible support and assistance to the bereaved family," it stated. Several people were injured in the attack.

Centre to revise Wholesale Price Index base yr from 2011-12 to 2022-23

The Commerce and Industry Ministry said that the government has approved the revision of the base year of Wholesale Price Index (WPI) from 2011-12 to 2022-23. The revised WPI and new Producer Price Indices is scheduled to be released on June 15 at 12 pm. The total number of items in WPI basket has increased from 697 to 957.
