Sensex crashes 1,000 points after fresh Iran strikes

Sensex tanked further by around 1,000 points on Wednesday after opening low in early trade amid uncertainty related to US–Iran negotiations after fresh Iranian strikes. Meanwhile, Nifty fell around 1.02% to 23,244.45. Notably, Iran attacked American bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, while the US conducted self-defence strikes on Iran's Qeshm Island.

23 killed in Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities

Russia launched hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles at Ukraine early on Tuesday, killing 23 people and wounding 130. Iran bombards Kuwait airport

Iran on Wednesday attacked Kuwait International Airport after US said it intercepted all Iranian missiles fired at its bases. Kuwait Defence Ministry spokesperson said that a number of hostile drones and missiles targeted the airport's passenger building, damaging the building and injuring several people. Kuwait airport suspended flight operations after the attack.
