Satinder Singh Bhasin, the owner of Greater Noida's Grand Venice Mall, has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case. The government on Saturday announced a cut in export duties on petrol, diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) for the fortnight starting June 1. Export duty on petrol has been set at ₹1.5/litre, while duty on diesel has been set at ₹13.5/litre. Export duty on ATF has been set at ₹9.5/litre, the government said.

A meteor crashing towards Earth exploded over the north-eastern United States on Saturday, NASA said. It set off booms that echoed over the region with a blast equivalent to 300 tons of TNT, shaking buildings. The meteor was travelling at more than 1,20,000 kmph at an altitude of around 64 km when it broke apart, NASA stated.

Accused Asad who killed 17-yr-old boy on Bakrid in Ghaziabad shot dead in police encounter

The prime accused in the Ghaziabad murder case, Asad, has been shot dead in a police encounter near the crime spot, officials said on Sunday.
