Delhi HC pulls up WFI for declaring Vinesh Phogat ineligible

The Delhi HC on Friday criticised WFI for declaring Vinesh Phogat "ineligible" to participate in domestic competitions. It also directed the Centre to form an expert panel to evaluate her case. "Why can't it be presumed that [WFI] changed [selection criteria] for her?...Motherhood is celebrated in the country, should it come to the detriment of a person?" the court asked.

Mob assaults doctor at medical college in Karnataka, 5 arrested

A mob allegedly assaulted a doctor at Karnataka's Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BRIMS) late on Thursday night.
