BJP changes street colours after victory in West Bengal

BCCI not a public authority under RTI Act: CIC

The Central Information Commission (CIC) on Monday held the BCCI isn't covered by RTI Act as it does not fall within the definition of a 'public authority' under the Act. "BCCI is a private organization whose objects are to promote the game of cricket," Information Commissioner PR Ramesh. The verdict came in a plea seeking information on functioning of BCCI.

ATM in Maharashtra dispenses ₹500 instead of ₹100, huge crowd rushes in as news spreads

A technical glitch at an ATM in Maharashtra's Vasai caused the machine to dispense much higher amounts than requested on Saturday night. Customers who tried withdrawing ₹100 and ₹400 reportedly received ₹500 and ₹2,000, respectively. Large crowds gathered outside the ATM after the glitch came to light, with some managing to withdraw excess cash. ATM services have now been suspended.

UDF govt announces free bus travel for women in 1st cabinet meet
