Govt proposes rules to allow 85-100% ethanol-blended fuels in vehicles

The government has issued a draft notification proposing amendments to the Central Motor Vehicles Rules to allow the use of higher ethanol-blended fuels in vehicles. The proposal includes provisions for E85 fuel, a blend of 85% ethanol with petrol, and E100, which is essentially ethanol. India achieved its target of 20% ethanol blending (E20) in petrol last year.

700 CAPF companies to stay in West Bengal after polls: Official
