3 Americans asked to leave India by May 10 for preaching religion in Pune

Three Americans who came to India on tourist visas were served a "leave India notice" by the Pune Police for allegedly preaching religion. They were asked to leave on or before May 10. The trio allegedly handed out leaflets with content on the Bible to a cab driver. They also allegedly tried preaching that "Christianity was better" than other religions.

FSSAI proposes ban on plastic layer in pan masala packaging

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued a draft notification to curb the use of plastic in pan masala packaging. "Sachets using plastic material shall not be used for storing, packing or selling gutkha, tobacco and pan masala," it said. It also suggests the use of paper, cardboard, or cellulose-based materials instead of plastic.
