US-Iran peace talks begin in Pakistan after 5-hour delay

US President Donald Trump and the Iranian state-media have announced that peace talks between the two countries have started in Pakistan. Iranian state-media claimed the talks began after "intensive consultations, a reduction in Israel's attacks on Lebanon, and the US side's acceptance of unfreezing Iranian assets". Trump said that the negotiations began after a delay of five hours.

Govt hikes export duty on diesel, ATF

The duty on export of diesel has been increased from ₹21.5/litre to ₹55.5/litre. Duty on ATF (Aviation Turbine Fuel) has been increased from ₹29.5/litre to ₹42/litre. The Special Additional Excise Duty on high-speed diesel has been raised to ₹24 per litre, while the Road and Infrastructure Cess now stands at ₹36 per litre, according to Economic Times.
