US state allows AI chatbot to renew prescriptions for mental health drugs

The US state of Utah has launched a one-year pilot allowing an AI chatbot to renew prescriptions for some psychiatric medications, including those for anxiety and depression. Developed by the Legion Health startup, the chatbot cannot issue new prescriptions. It will also escalate cases to a human clinician if it detects suicidality, severe side effects, or upon patient request.

Maharashtra contractors warn of strike from April 7 over ₹96,000 cr unpaid dues

A body representing over three lakh contractors in Maharashtra has warned of a statewide strike from April 7 if the state government fails to pay their ₹96,400 crore of dues.
