Atanu Chakraborty quit as Chairman of India's largest private lender, HDFC Bank, over a power struggle with CEO Sasidhar Jagdishan, FT reported. Chakraborty had reportedly opposed Jagdishan's reappointment as CEO, despite most of the board backing Jagdishan. Differences between the duo began during HDFC Financial Services' spin-off, with Jagdishan backing its sale and Chakraborty opposing it.

IDF apologises after soldiers 'choke' CNN cameraman, hold crew at gunpoint

A CNN reporting team was assaulted by Israel Defence Forces (IDF) near the Palestinian village of Tayasir.
