NCLAT exempts IL&FS' 50 'red' & 'amber' firms from CSR as they're not making any money

NCLAT has exempted 50 'red' and 'amber' companies of IF&FS from corporate social responsibility (CSR) as they're not actually making any money. The 'red' and 'amber' entities haven't been earning interest on their outstanding debt, and are, therefore, only accruing notional profits in their books. 'Red' and 'amber' tags are given to debt-ridden entities unable to meet financial obligations.

1 killed, several injured as ropeway snaps at Chhattisgarh temple

FPIs pull out ₹88,180 crore in March so far amid Middle East war

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have withdrawn ₹88,180 crore from Indian equities as of March 20, according to the latest NSDL data.
