How may India benefit if US removes sanctions on Iranian oil?

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent hinted that the US may remove sanctions on about 140 million barrels of Iranian oil that are on water. If this happens, India could be able to increase procurement. India stopped buying crude from Iran in 2019 due to sanctions imposed on Iran. According to reports, Indian refiners are capable of re-integrating these barrels.

Zomato hikes platform fee by ₹2.40

Zomato, the food delivery platform of Eternal, has increased the platform fee it levies on users by ₹2.40 per order. Indian Oil raises industrial diesel price by 25% after premium petrol hike amid Gulf war

Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has increased the price of industrial diesel from ₹87.67 per litre to ₹109.59 per litre, or 25%, as per multiple reports. This comes as oil marketing companies like IOCL, HPCL and BPCL hiked the price of premium petrol by up to ₹2.35 per litre. Notably, crude oil prices have surged recently due to Middle East war.

An Indian national was killed Riyadh on March 18 following Iran’s attack on Saudi Arabia.
