Kamath questions why banking apps need access to SMS & contacts, says 'They make no sense'

Billionaire Nithin Kamath questioned why banking apps force users to give them permissions to access SMS, phone and contact details of users. "I don't use net banking apps on my phone because the mandatory permissions they ask for make no sense," Kamath said, adding, "Not seeking invasive...permissions is...global benchmark for cybersecurity." He said apps seek permissions in "name of security".

US-based businessman Michael Sitarzewski open-sourced an entire company of AI agents called 'The Agency'. The Agency offers specialised AI agents, each with a separate personality, for 155 different jobs. Called the "dream team", The Agency was born out of a Reddit thread, was built after months of iteration and may potentially allow a single person to build an entire company.

Larijani, Iran's de facto leader after Khamenei's death, dead in US-Israel strikes: IRGC

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed that the country's security chief Ali Larijani has been killed in airstrikes carried out by US and Israel, Iranian media reported. Larijani was considered as Iran's de facto leader after Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's death in a US-Israel airstrike. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu had earlier called Larijani "boss" of the IRGC.

'I am alive,' says Netanyahu as he posts video amid death reports

US releases deportation poster with Taj Mahal on it

The US Department of Homeland Security released a deportation poster with Taj Mahal on it. "Fly to India for free. Self-deport through the CBP Home app," the poster read. Result of AFCON final overturned 2 months later over Senegal's walk-off, Morocco crowned champs

Senegal have been stripped of their AFCON title after CAF upheld Morocco's appeal following the final on January 18. Senegal players had walked off in protest over a late penalty decision. They returned after which Morocco's Brahim Diaz missed penalty and Senegal recorded 1-0 win in extra time. CAF ruled that Senegal forfeited the final, handing Morocco a 3-0 win.

The Israeli strike that killed Iran's National Security Chief Ali Larijani has also killed his son, who served as his special assistant, and his deputy at the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Bateni, said a report. World's first 'quantum battery' developed

Australian scientists have built the world's first proof-of-concept quantum battery that completes a full charge-store-discharge cycle. Pakistan, Afghanistan announce Eid pause in war

After weeks of war, Pakistan and Afghanistan have decided to temporarily pause the war for Eid.
