India forms panel for commercial LPG supply as hotels, eateries face closure amid shortage

Centre has announced the formation of a committee to address LPG supply to non-domestic sectors amid shortages caused by fuel disruption amid the war in Middle East. The panel, consisting of three EDs of Oil Marketing Companies, will "review...representations for LPG supply to restaurants/hotels/other industries," it said. Several hotels and restaurants are facing closures due to the shortages.

Bengaluru's 83-year-old iconic restaurant Vidyarthi Bhavan is on the verge of shutdown as commercial LPG supply gets stopped in the city. "Supply constraints began on March 9. Most hotels received barely 20% of their usual deliveries," said Arun Adiga, the restaurant's managing partner. Passengers at Dubai airport sent to shelter amid Iran missile threat, shows video

Air raid sirens were heard briefly around Dubai airport on Tuesday morning and passengers and staff were directed to bomb shelter after UAE air defences warned of incoming missiles and drones fired by Iran. India to supply 5,000 tonnes of diesel to B'desh amid fuel concerns

India will export 5,000-tonnes diesel to Bangladesh on Tuesday, Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation's Chairman said. India has to supply 1,80,000 tonnes this year, i.e., 90,000 tonnes every six months. SC allows Centre to extend terms of tribunal members by 6 months
