India's fastest metro system to be launched in Meerut by PM Modi on Feb 22

PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate 21-km long Meerut Metro project, with 12 stations from Meerut South to Modipuram, on February 22, 2026, NCRTC said. With a design speed of 135 km/hr and maximum operational speed of 120 km/hr, Meerut metro will be the fastest metro system in India. It will cover 21 km distance in just 30 minutes.

32 universities across India declared fake by UGC, Delhi tops the list

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has identified 32 fake universities operating across India, with Delhi topping the list at 12. Uttar Pradesh has four fake universities, while Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Puducherry have two each.
