3 sentenced to death for gang-raping Israeli tourist, killing male tourist in Hampi

A court in Karnataka has sentenced three men to death after convicting them of gang-rape and murder of tourists. The convicts, Mallayya (22), Saikumar (21) and Sharanabasavaraj (27), killed an Indian tourist, gang-raped an Israeli tourist and Indian homestay owner, and robbed an American tourist. The crime happened in March 2025, near the Tungabhadra River in Sanapur region of Hampi.

75% of defence capital outlay is for domestic procurement: PM Modi
