Epstein was most likely strangled, not hanged: Doctor who observed autopsy

Dr Michael Baden, the forensic pathologist who observed convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's autopsy, said Epstein most likely died from strangulation, not hanging. "Given all the information now available, further investigation into the cause and manner of death is warranted," he added. Epstein was found dead in his jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Indian student goes missing in US

Saketh Sreenivasaiah, a post-graduate student of UC Berkeley hailing from Karnataka, has gone missing, following which the Consulate General of India in San Francisco said it is concerned about him. Saketh's roommate Baneet Singh, posted on LinkedIn that he has been missing since February 9 and was last seen near Lake Anza in the Berkeley Hills.

Banks earn ₹4,818 crore from minimum balance penalties in FY25

Indian banks earned ₹4,818 crore in penalties from customers who failed to maintain the required minimum average balance in their accounts during FY25, according to a parliamentary report. Of the total, private banks accounted for ₹2,772.2 crore. The report by the Committee on Petitions said the penalties "are often disproportionately high" and cause "undue financial stress on account holders".
