How much amount has been spent in each IPL auction?

IPL auctions from 2008 to 2013 took place in US dollars. In the inaugural auction, $36.43 million was spent by eight teams. In 2011 auction, $62.775 million was spent, while $11.885 million was spent in IPL 2013 auction. In 2014 and 2015 auctions, ₹262.6 crore and ₹87.6 crore were spent, respectively. IPL 2022 auction saw ₹551.7 crore being spent.

45.6% posts in pollution control panels in India lie vacant: Govt

According to the Centre, nearly half the posts in pollution control boards and committees across India remain vacant. Centre said there are 28 State Pollution Control Boards and eight Pollution Control Committees operating in Union Territories and the NCT of Delhi. Of their 6,932 sanctioned scientific and technical posts, a total of 3,161, or 45.6%, lie vacant.

Meesho co-founder Vidit Aatrey has become a billionaire after the company's shares surged 74% since its listing. Mesh stock surged over to record high of ₹193 a share, compared with the issue price of ₹111. Sydney attacker visited Philippines on Indian passport: Reports

Sajid Akram, one of the shooters who carried out terrorist attack at Australia's Bondi Beach, visited the Philippines in November on an Indian passport, several reports claimed, citing Philippine immigration authorities. Sajid's son Naveed Akram, who also carried out the attack, travelled using an Australian passport. At least 15 people were killed in attack during the Jewish Hanukkah celebration.

Over 58 lakh names deleted as EC releases Bengal's SIR draft list

A total of 58 lakh names were deleted from draft voter list in West Bengal as Election Commission (EC) published data after Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Out of 58 lakh names, 24.17 lakh have been marked as "dead", 19.88 lakh as "relocated", 12.20 lakh as "missing", and 1.38 lakh as "duplicate". The people can now raise objections and request corrections.

Bird flu detected in vampire bats in Peru

Scientists have detected antibodies to H5N1, a strain of influenza virus that causes the highly infectious respiratory disease known as avian influenza or bird flu, in vampire bats in coastal regions of Peru. Researchers reportedly believe bats could've likely acquired the infection through contact with virus-infected marine animals while feeding on prey such as seabirds and other marine mammals.

AQI changes from 31 to 750 in seconds as Noida man goes in balcony

Rupee crosses 91-mark against US dollar for the first time
