Nvidia has built a verification technology to locate the country in which its chips are operating to stop people from smuggling them into China and other countries where their export is banned, Reuters reported. Goa club owners ran 42 shell companies registered at same Delhi address: Report

The owners of Goa nightclub Birch by Romeo Lane ran 42 shell companies under the guise of their restaurant empire, Times Now has reported. All the companies, in which the brothers were directors, had a common address in North West Delhi and were opened in the last two years, the channel reported. Twenty-five people died in a fire at Birch.

Delhi court refuses interim relief to absconding Birch by Romeo Lane owners

A Delhi court has refused immediate interim relief to Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, owners of Goa's 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub where 25 people died in a fire. The Luthra brothers, who have absconded to Thailand, sought protection to come back to India and approach the court in Goa for further relief. They accused Goa government of a "witch-hunt".

NHAI rolls out India's 1st red tabletop markings to save wildlife

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has placed large red patches along a section of the Jabalpur-Bhopal highway crossing the Veerangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve and Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary to protect wildlife. In a first-of-its-kind initiative in India, the raised patch, which stands slightly above the regular road, alerts the driver to slow down as animals may be crossing nearby.

Russia launches visa to help Indians get residency after Putin's visit

After President Vladimir Putin's India trip, Russia has launched a new visa programme offering residency to foreigners. India and Russia recently signed a labour mobility pact, which will make it easier for Indian professionals to work in Russia, which is facing acute shortage of workers. Russia's manufacturing industry requires at least 800,000 additional workers, Deputy PM Denis Manturov said.

Japan on Tuesday issued a rare megaquake advisory after a magnitude 7.5 earthquake struck off the eastern coast of Aomori, just south of Hokkaido. A megaquake is an extremely powerful earthquake with a magnitude above 8.0 on the Richter scale, according to Japan's Headquarters for Earthquake Research Promotion. A megaquake could cause a fault rupture of up to 1,000km.

Goa club owners Luthra brothers cite medical conditions in bail plea, say 'We're victims too'

Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, owners of Goa's Birch by Romeo Lane, cited Saurabh's epilepsy and hypertension in their anticipatory bail petition filed before Delhi's Rohini court.
