Rupee dips to historic low against US dollar

Indian rupee tumbled to a historic low on Tuesday as it dipped past the 90-a-US-dollar level in intraday trade. According to PTI, the rupee closed at an all-time low of 89.95 on Tuesday, 42 paise lower than Monday's close of 89.53 against US dollar. Foreign fund outflows from equities and lingering India-US trade deal uncertainty are keeping investor sentiment fragile.

VIT Bhopal tried to hide jaundice outbreak, finds probe after massive violent protest

VIT Bhopal University's administration attempted a cover-up of the jaundice outbreak on the campus, an official probe panel has found, The Indian Express reported. The campus was turned into a "fortress-like structure" and the district's top medical officer was made to wait outside for two hours, the probe found. IndiGo slapped with β‚Ή118 cr GST penalty, calls order 'erroneous'

IndiGo parent InterGlobe Aviation received a β‚Ή117.52 crore penalty notice from Joint Commissioner of Central Tax & Central Excise, Kochi Commissionerate. The department has denied input tax credit (ITC) availed by the company and has issued a demand order along with a penalty.
