Centre proposes Bill to allow President make legislations for Chandigarh, appoint L-G
The Centre will introduce the Constitution (131 Amendment) Bill 2025 in the upcoming Winter Session, said a bulletin. The Bill would empower the President to legislate for Chandigarh and appoint a Lieutenant Governor to administer it, similar to Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and Daman and Diu. Since June 1, 1984, Chandigarh has been administered by the Punjab Governor.

Paul Costelloe, Princess Diana's personal designer, dies at 80
Irish fashion designer Paul Costelloe, personal designer to the late Princess Diana has died aged 80, his family said in a statement. Costelloe died peacefully, surrounded by his wife and seven children in London following short illness, they added.
