Black cumin seeds can help prevent obesity, study finds

Black cumin seeds, commonly used in curries, have anti-obesity benefits as their extract inhibits the formation and maturation of fat cells, a study published in journal Food Science & Nutrition has found. Participants who consumed 5g of black cumin seed powder daily for eight weeks showed improvements in blood lipid profiles, which lowers risk of heart conditions, researchers stated.

First video of 2,600 kg ammonium nitrate hidden in Delhi blast co-accused's house surfaces

A video has surfaced showing around 2,600 kg of ammonium nitrate recovered from the Delhi car blast co-accused Dr Muzammil's Faridabad house. The video, which was reportedly filmed a day before the car blast, shows the house in an isolated location with 50 sacks of ammonium nitrate stacked inside, ABP News reported. This chemical was reportedly used in the blast.

Explosion at glue factory in Pakistan, 15 killed

At least 15 people died after a boiler exploded at a glue-making factory in Faisalabad, a city in Punjab province of Pakistan. A local administrator said the explosion terribly damaged the factory building and spread panic across the area. In 2024, nearly a dozen workers were injured in a similar boiler explosion at a textile mill in Faisalabad.
