Cornell University researchers claim to have found the best way to prevent crying while chopping onions. They stated that using sharpened knife and cutting slowly, or coating onion in oil can prevent tears while chopping. Published in journl PNAS, the study used high-speed cameras and computer models to reveal onions don't release tear-triggering fluid in one burst.

Israel-Hamas ceasefire came into effect and Israeli troops began to pull back from Gaza on Friday. "Troops began positioning themselves along updated deployment lines in preparation for the ceasefire agreement and the return of hostages," said Israel Defense Forces (IDF). According to the latest IUCN Red List, 48,646 species are threatened with extinction. That represents 28% of all assessed species, the IUCN stated.
