IPS officer who died by suicide was recently transferred to jail where Ram Rahim is lodged

Senior IPS officer of Haryana cadre Y Puran Kumar, who died by alleged suicide at his Chandigarh home, was recently transferred to Sunaria Jail in Rohtak, where Gurmeet Ram Rahim is lodged. He is serving a sentence for his rape convictions. Kumar had questioned about the promotion of certain IPS officers of 1991, 1996, 1997, and 2005 batches, said reports.

Boat capsizes during 'Mandaadi' shoot, equipment worth ₹1-cr lost

During Tamil film 'Mandaadi' shooting, boat carrying crew and expensive filming equipment worth ₹1 crore overturned mid-sequence at the Ramanathapuram coast. Reportedly, technicians and two cinematographers were thrown into the water during the incident. The crew was rescued by fishermen, with no casualties. Marine Police temporarily halted shoot and have launched an investigation into the cause.

Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) have allied with the help of Pakistan's spy agency ISI, several reports have claimed. Madhya Pradesh Staff Selection Board has stated that around 9.76 lakh applications were received for 7,500 police constable posts, according to NDTV. PhD holders, engineers, postgraduates and diploma engineers are reportedly among the applicants for the post, which has a minimum 10th-grade pass qualification requirement. Tata Group may offer to buy 6% Tata Sons stake from SP Group amid standoff: Report

Tata Trusts and Tata Group are open to offering Shapoorji Pallonji Group the option to sell 4-6% of its Tata Sons stake amid an ongoing standoff between Tata Trusts' trustees over the conglomerate's control, Moneycontrol reported. The sale will provide liquidity to SP Group, which is facing a ₹30,000-crore debt burden. SP Group owns an 18.4% stake in Tata Sons.

US biotech firm founder declared guilty of plotting rival's murder

Serhat Gumrukcu, the founder of Enochian Biosciences, has been convicted of orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot targeting Gregory Davis, his former business partner. Davis was abducted from his Vermont home in 2018 and later found shot at the base of a snowbank. The murder plot came after a failed oil deal, following which Davis threatened to sue Gumrukcu over collapsed transaction.

Gold jumps to all-time high in Delhi, silver falls from peak

Gold prices jumped ₹700 to hit an all-time high of ₹1,24,000 per 10 grams in Delhi on Tuesday, according to the All India Sarafa Association. Haryana IPS officer alleged caste bias, administrative harassment before his death

10 killed after landslide hits private bus in Himachal's Bilaspur

At least 10 people were killed in a massive landslide in Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur district on Tuesday.
