Govt to probe extra charges on cash-on-delivery orders by e-commerce platforms

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs is examining complaints about additional charges on cash-on-delivery (CoD) orders by e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart. The probe will also look into delays or blocks in refunds when prepaid orders are cancelled. According to reports, Amazon charges β‚Ή7-10, while Flipkart and FirstCry charge β‚Ή10 extra for CoD, besides the regular platform fee.
