Shift workers have a 15% higher risk of developing kidney stones, especially younger workers and those with low levels of manual labor, according to a study published in Mayo Clinic Proceedings. Researchers found that people with longer history of shift work had a slightly lower risk of kidney stones. The study was conducted based on data analysed from 226,459 participants.
