A three-day-old baby narrowly escaped death after being allegedly abandoned by his parents over fear of losing their jobs under the state's two-child policy. The parents, a government school teacher and his wife Rajkumari, abandoned the newborn in a forest. The couple, who already has three children, kept the pregnancy a secret. They were arrested on Tuesday following the rescue.
