UPI daily limit raised to ₹10 lakh for select categories from today

The NPCI has raised UPI daily limit to ₹10 lakh for select P2M (Person-to-Merchant) categories from today. The 24-hour cumulative limit has been increased to ₹10 lakh for capital markets (investments), insurance payments, government e-marketplace (EMD/Tax), Loan/EMI collections and travel bookings. Notably, the daily limit for Person-to-Person (P2P) transfers will remain same (₹1 lakh per day).

Woman who crashed BMW into bike and killed Finance Ministry official arrested in Delhi

The woman who was driving the BMW car, which hit and killed a Finance Ministry official in Delhi on Sunday, has been arrested. This came after a team from Delhi Police visited Nulife Hospital and Maternity Centre, GTB Nagar, in Delhi, where the woman and her husband were admitted. US-India to resume trade talks tomorrow

US-India trade talks will resume on Tuesday, Special Secretary in Department of Commerce Rajesh Agrawal said. He added that a team of American negotiators will land in Delhi late on Monday. This will be the first in-person trade talks since the US imposed 50% tariffs on India last month. The negotiations, scheduled for August 25, were deferred after the tariffs.

Gold prices fall from peak, silver hits fresh all-time high

Gold prices retreated from record levels, declining ₹500 to trade at ₹1,13,300 per 10 grams in Delhi on Monday, according to the All India Sarafa Association. Deadline for filing of Income Tax Return extended

Income Tax Department has extended the deadline for filing Income Tax Return. "The Central Board of Direct Taxes has decided to further extend the due date for filing the ITRs for AY 2025-26 from 15th September, 2025, to 16th September, 2025," it said.
